October 24^th, 2022: ILSC presented Sickle Cell Disease Initiative at the 75th Anniversary of UN day

ILSC was thrilled to present its Sickle Cell Disease Initiative as part of The United Nations Association of the U.S.A. Council of Organizations (“UNA-USA COO”) celebration of its 75th Anniversary on UN Day 2022 in New York City.

ILSC’s presentation, given by Rick Flath, President of ILSC, within the Anniversary’s theme of “Building Partnerships and Collaborations for Our Sustainable Future,” highlighted actions by civil society members to support local and global projects, including various initiatives with the United Nations.

The event featured the 2022 “Spirit of Eleanor Roosevelt Awards’’, presented to individuals and organizations carrying forward leadership and inspiring work. Mrs. Roosevelt was a founder of UNA-USA COO and leader who shared her focus on civil society participation at the UN.
